Old Bill – The traditional mascot of the United States Cavalry. He was actually a real horse Soldier and First Sergeant who died in the Spanish American War.  The Old Trooper Statue depicts the proud heritage of the U. S. Horse Cavalry. It is modeled after the drawing of “Old Bill,” the cavalry soldier drawn by famous western artist, Frederic Remington.
